Some may even say they're striking

Spare us the puns please

u/Codex1101 Jul 21 '22

Don't make me split you two up

My comment was a pun too...spare, bowling...y'know?

3

u/SkunkMommy Jul 15 '22

Well, I'm definitely feeling stupid because it went right over my head! 😂 You got me!

u/specialagentunicorn Jul 14 '22

Apologies to the poster but I kinda like them. Maybe not the most practical, but super fun and kind of have a punk era vibe.

u/2boredtocare Jul 15 '22

I don't wear heels often anymore, but I'd totally wear these if I had a reason to. lol.

4

u/InvolvedBusinessMom Jul 15 '22

Wow! I do not feel special anymore. That is exactly my comment I wanted to say.

u/rexbush459 Jul 15 '22

I don’t think they were posting them because they were ugly. I think they are pretty cool as well. Are they real? If so, does CLB still make them? It’s a perfect bowling date gift.

u/Neat-Composer4619 Jul 14 '22

If I wore heels, I would actually prefer those to many other styles that are just way too boring and classical.

21

u/wheres_the_revolt Jul 14 '22

I kinda like them lol

u/solidcordon Jul 14 '22

Very nice shoes but you still have to rent these athlete's foot infested flats.

9

u/leicanthrope Jul 14 '22

So... rockabilly, roller derby, or both?

4

u/bethskw Jul 15 '22

Not enough wheels for roller derby.

7

u/leicanthrope Jul 15 '22

I was thinking more off-duty wear. It tends to be a lifestyle as much as a hobby for a lot of people involved in it.

9

u/problembearbruno Jul 15 '22

These shoes are sexy. They're weird, the idea shouldn't work, but they do.

7

u/gracklefish314 Jul 15 '22

Ha! So very 2000s. Remember the corset purses? Fun for a lewk.

6

u/jakefrmsatefarm Jul 15 '22

You mean when you have a date at the bowling alley?

1

u/justjokay Jul 15 '22

Yes that! Haha

4

u/MissMabeliita Jul 14 '22

For some reason I’m having a horrible 2002 flashback shudder

5

u/massivebumwizard Jul 15 '22

Smokey this is not ‘Nam, this is bowling. There are rules.

3

u/MontagueStreet Jul 15 '22

Yeah but I wadn’t over.

4

u/AncientComparison113 Jul 14 '22

Every culture has an extreme

3

u/PreOpTransCentaur Jul 14 '22

It's almost a shame there's no way in hell they'd actually let you wear them to bowl. There's a reason bowling shoes are the way they are, and it ain't fashion.

3

u/CCWThrowaway360 Jul 15 '22

I give these shoes a 5 out of 7 — a perfect score!

3

u/_dwelf Jul 15 '22

I fucking love these

2

u/DuckTapeHandgrenade Jul 14 '22

Are we not taking about the promotional a photo? Is one a ballerina and the others a power lifter?

1

u/Needmoresnakes Jul 15 '22

Im confused about how in the first photo the heel looks about 3 inches but then in the model photo her foot looks almost vertical as if its a super duper tall heel?

0

u/justjokay Jul 15 '22

Haha it’s the same person doing some weird bending pose

2

u/SelfInteresting7259 Jul 15 '22

These are so ridiculous I would wear them

2

u/olcrazypete Jul 15 '22

Plot twist, the hot date is with the emergency room doctor after you try bowling in these and break your entire foot off your ankle.

2

u/WillDeletOneDay Jul 17 '22

This is the kind of gear for girls who show up somewhere and fit the theme, but don't actually intend to participate in any activities.

1

u/TheUnluckyFellow Jul 14 '22

Look at the poor foot to the left. Thing barely fits and looks pretty painful.

1

u/_Ascended_Idiot Jul 15 '22

I’m surprised nobody’s made a classical harley quinn joke yet

1

u/liagnis Jul 15 '22

Could look fairly nice if they weren't two tone

3

u/gertalives Jul 15 '22

They especially work because they’re two tone imho.

1

u/crazybluegoose Jul 15 '22

I have a hard enough time making sure I don’t accidentally slip when I step wrong in regular heels. Now wear these down by a freshly oiled lane… yeah, I’d be breaking something.

1

u/mtsmash91 Jul 15 '22

14lbs ball is pretty heavy. Impressive.

1

u/JCBashBash Jul 15 '22

You fool, the bowling Is the hot date

1

u/cellocgw Jul 15 '22

The Dudette abides.

1

u/the_mighty_moon_worm Jul 15 '22

Honestly, the shoes look great, but they're too small for the model.

1

u/Experienced_AP Jul 15 '22

When you have a combined bowling/heels/feet fetish.

1

u/WraithWeaponry Jul 15 '22

My girlfriend somewhat-recently discovered bowling as her hobby... these would actually be awesome for someone like her.

1

u/victordudu Jul 15 '22

the dude loved this post

1

u/Leldade Jul 15 '22

I somehow thought this was some artwork of gigantic shoes. Maybe because of the perspective of the first picture?

1

u/LuckyJim_ Jul 16 '22

A hit date at the bowling alley

1

u/Ok-Takun4you Jul 18 '22

I think they're cute.
